Alibi

Pyotr is a successful screenwriter contracted to write an adaptation of Dostoyevsky's "Crime and Punishment”, but he has a secret sideline: creating alibis for people with things to hide. From infidelity and sexual perversion to tax evasion and fraud, he and his team go to extraordinary lengths to save marriages, reputations and political careers, keeping some of their shadier clients out of jail. His world suddenly falls apart when his own spouse shows up wanting an alibi for cheating on him and he discovers that his son has a secret life of his own. For all the crimes that he, himself, has enabled, perhaps his own punishment is only just beginning.
