Different from children’s movies which are made specifically for children and not necessarily for the general audience, family movies are made to attract a broad audience and have a wider appeal. These movies need to be attractive to children, but also smart enough to entertain their parents. Family movies do not necessarily have children as the main character although they do include children’s roles.
