Western films are based mostly on western literature and folklore. They are associated with the American expansion of the West. They are not a true portrayal of history, but rather create an ideal moral imitation that reflects the American national character and spirit tendency. In the characterization of western genre, people are distinguished between good and evil. This theme also has obvious characteristics of natural and social, such as steep valleys, large deserts, endless wasteland, remote and quiet towns, and inconspicuous pubs.
