Brush Strokes
Brush Strokes is a British television sitcom, broadcast on BBC television from 1986 to 1991. Written by Esmonde and Larbey and set in South London, it depicted the amorous adventures of a good-looking, wisecracking house painter, Jacko. There were 40 episodes spread over 5 series.
Everybody goes to Giles and Gloria's country mansion. Veronica and Marcello return to Leslie's dismay. Mr. Morella tells Jacko that he cannot Lucia as she is to marry somebody else. Paulette convinces Elmo to buy her a country house.
Everybody else can see that Paulette is continuing to be a gold digger but Elmo is blind to it. Eventually Elmo sees Paulette with another man and he sends her away. Veronica is very happy with Marcello but she has become distracted.
Jean and Eric announce that they are expecting another baby. Sandra and Jimmy have a row and they break up. Veronica announces that Marcello is moving in with her, which upsets Leslie. Jacko helps a woman in distress and then dates her.
Giles and Gloria are in London and organise a party at Elmo's. Everybody goes to the party to try and cheer up. Jacko new girlfriend plays for a soccer team but he breaks up with her because she is more interest in football than him.
Elmo buys a camera and Jacko suggests that Elmo make a promotional video for the wine bar. Jacko convinces everybody to participate but the results is not very good. Jacko talks Elmo into changing his mind.
Eric and Jean decide to move house and Jacko is upset. Elmo offers to let Jacko stay at his place. Veronica accepts Marcello's marriage proposal. They intend to live in Sicily and so Veronica is going to sell the business.
Veronica is having trouble selling Bainbridge's as a going concern. Eric and Jean manage to sell the house. Elmo is unhappy and Jacko takes him to a casino when he has winning streak, with the roulette table and the ladies.
Veronica decides not to sell the business and makes Sandra the new manager. She and Marcello finally head off to Sicily. Elmo buys a boat, takes off and makes Leslie the wine bar manager. Jacko gets two tempting offers of a place to stay.
Jacko is back to find that Lionel has died. Sandra finally leaves Splosh and Jacko decides to sell up and give Giles back his money. Elmo is back from Australia. He found an opal mine and is now very wealthy.
Veronica takes over the business and immediately employs Sandra as secretary. Elmo originally offers to invest in Jacko's business but Jacko talks him into starting up a wine bar instead. Jacko takes up Veronica's offer of a job.
Elmo opens his wine bar and everybody finds the pink colour scheme overpowering. Jacko and Eric start work on the Morella's business. Jacko is interested in Lucia Morella. Leslie tries to get Sandra sacked but Veronica sacks her instead.
acko asks Mr. Morella for permission to take out his daughter Lucia and he receives the okay to call on her. Jacko goes out on his first date with Lucia but finds out that the permission was only to visit her at home, six times. Elmo has trouble with the staff when they all quit over some 'friendly pats of encouragement'. Jacko decides to take Veronica out to cheer her up. Leslie has decided that she is going to marry Giles, as a marriage of convenience, and is going to make him ask her. However it doesn't work out as he decides that he is still in love Gloria and drops her.
Jacko and Lucia have their first real date and after a few dates she tricks him into proposing. Veronica goes out with Mr. Morella's brother. Elmo employs Leslie in the wine bar to take it upmarket. Giles proposes to Gloria.
After Lucia tricks him into proposing, Jacko comes up with a series of plans to get the wedding cancelled. Eventually, he decides to tell the Morellas the truth. Veronica and Marcello planning to go on holiday together.
The wedding - but not everything goes according to plan.
Jacko & Sandra return from their honeymoon. Their second wedding is all prepared. But they forgot to tell everyone that they're not getting married.
Gloria has trouble with the Greys. Leslie makes a move on Jacko, but opts for Badminton with Giles.
Reg returns. Elmo is the Great White Hunter.
Splosh opens. Tommy Hooligan is born.
Veronica joins Bainbridges. Elmo goes to Australia. Jacko looks for the missing piece of the jigsaw.

A chance for a musical trip - but only if he's a good boy
Jacko tries to do right by a customer and incurs Lionel's wrath.
Lesley's new flat. Lionel & Jacko meet in the Wendy house. A student foretells the beginning of the end.
Reg leaves Gloria and goes to Ilfracombe. Lesley finds her dashing officer, but he stops to help Gloria. Steve & Carol arrive, to show an idyllic family life.
Jacko is sent on a management training course, but is sent home early. Everyone wants him to settle down and accept some responsibility. Jacko accuses Sandra of wanting to marry him.
Sandra hands in her notice. Elmo goes alfresco, but hires a barmaid. Jacko takes the plunge.
Jacko proposes, Sandra accepts. Almost everyone looks forward to the wedding. Lesley's not too happy. As Sandra walks up the aisle, Jacko turns to Eric & says "I think I've made a terrible mistake".
Jacko finds something to like in all women. Jacko goes on a double date and then meets a novice nun.
Jacko dates Lesley, and runs when he finds out who she is. He takes Sandra out but deserts her when he spots a runaway nun
Julie's in a wheelchair, but doesn't fancy Jacko. Lesley finds him to be a pig.
Seraphina checks a ticket. An afternoon with Sandra - and the kids. An evening with Lesley - and a magic video
Jacko gives Lesley her marching orders, just as Lionel puts her on a boat. Reg & Gloria try to mend fences, but Jacko has to hurdle another one
Jacko sans tonsils but it could be the start of the ice age. Veronica is very fond of him.
Jacko has trouble with both Bainbridge women.
