Tooned is an animated cartoon by McLaren starring Jenson Button, Sergio Pérez and comedian Alexander Armstrong. It aired on Sky Sports F1 before the start of each Formula 1 race. The first season, which starred former McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton aired from the 2012 British Grand Prix onwards. The second season aired from the 2013 British Grand Prix onwards. All episodes can be watched on McLaren's YouTube channel and the Sky Sports F1 website any time after the premiere. The episodes are a little more than 3 minutes long. On 16 May 2014 it was announced on McLaren's YouTube Channel that a season 3 was in progress. It was announced when Jenson Button was shown a picture of his 2014 team mate Kevin Magnussen's character on Tooned and also added that 'the production of Season 3 was going well'. In 2016 a 'one-off special',again starring Alexander Armstrong and Jenson Button,to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of James Hunt winning the Driver's World Championship,was produced,introducing current Driver Fernando Alonso to the world of Tooned!

TOONED 2014:

In the third and final chapter of Oil: An Odyssey, our TOONED heroes, Jenson Button, Kevin Magnussen, Tony Stewart and Professor M come to some conclusions about Mobil 1, why it's been the oil of choice for the McLaren Mercedes team for 20 years and how it makes Tony's car go faster.

A Night To Remember

At the McLaren Technology Centre, McLaren are celebrating their 50th anniversary, with Professor M presenting the event. Then, an elderly Scottish man comes up to tell his story.

The Bruce McLaren Story

The old man tells the story of how Bruce McLaren started up McLaren, where there was just a shed with only three employees: Bruce, The Old Man and his kiwi,Russell.

The Emerson Fittipaldi Story

The old man is trying to tell the story of Emerson Fittipaldi but Professor M cuts him out and he speaks instead. He says that Emerson was nicknamed "The Mouse" but the old man tells him that he was no mouse and they called him something different

The James Hunt Story

Professor M introduces James Hunt, McLaren's first British world champion, and disapproves of his playboy lifestyle as a bad image for Britain. However, the old man elaborates that James was a national hero and that there was more to his off-track activities than met the eye.

The Alain Prost Story

Professor M introduces 4 times world champion Alain Prost as a close friend of his, where they would rebound off each other on a number of occasions. However, the old man mentions a series of races during the 1984 Formula One season that ultimately set the difference between the two Professors.

The Ayrton Senna Story

The old man proceeds to tell the story of legendary Brazilian driver, Ayrton Senna, but also mentions that when you talk of Senna, you will always talk of his arch-nemesis.

The Mika Häkkinen Story

Professor M introduces the "Flying Finn" Mika Häkkinen, and comment that he had a big impact on his racing career. The Old Man disagrees, lamenting that there was something special about Mika.

The Grand Finale

After going through some of McLaren's legendary drivers, Professor M and the Old Man determine of what real success is.

Wheel Nuts

Lewis and Jenson arrive at the McLaren team headquarters to begin the development of the team's 2013 car.

Slicks

Lewis and Jenson get distracted testing the brand new safety features Professor M has been developing. After a fire extinguisher blows up in Jenson's face and Lewis is ejected from the building into a nearby lake, the team must make them presentable for an upcoming film premiere.

Track to the Future

Professor M shows off the future of Formula One. When Lewis takes the prototype car out for a test drive, M and Jenson have to find a way to bring him back to the base.

Beyond the Limit

Bored by another day of testing, Lewis and Jenson discover that their cars can travel at speed in reverse, much to Professor M's annoyance.

Lift Story

When their lift breaks down, Professor M tells Lewis and Jenson tales from his time as a racer while they try to fix the lift and get to a race on time.

Gone with the Wind

Lewis and Jenson are unhappy with their latest assignment — demonstrating McLaren's new wind tunnel for the Mayoress of Woking.

The Rising Son

In Japan, Professor M shows off his latest creation: RTD-1, an android test driver capable of learning as he develops. M wants Lewis and Jenson to work alongside RTD-1, but Lewis and Jenson teach him how to race.

Lecture Circuit

While Lewis and Jenson are off doing charity work, Professor M takes McLaren's Young Driver Programme candidate Nyck De Vries for a four-hour lecture on engineering. When Nyck grows bored, he decides to sneak one of McLaren's racing cars out for a test drive.

Strictly Bollywood

With the team scheduled to provide the post-race entertainment for the Indian Grand Prix, Professor M and the Mechanics show off a Bollywood-inspired dance routine for the team to learn.

Lewis,Jenson and former McLaren driver Mika Häkkinen get bored while doing promotional work...

Side Tracked

Nyck De Vries returns to the team for another lesson, this time applying his knowledge to the circuit. When Nyck gets bored, he once again causes more mischief.

A Glitch Too Far: Part 1

Lewis and Jenson become trapped in the McLaren simulator and Professor M must take the problem 'upstairs' in order to save them before it's too late...
