The Marshal is an American action-drama television series that aired on ABC for two brief seasons in 1995. The show starred Jeff Fahey as the title character, a United States Marshal charged with pursuing fugitives across the nation. In 1995, the episode "Hitwoman" was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Sound Editing for a Series.

When a Major's daughter runs away to her estranged father, McBride is called in to find them.

A trio of inept robbers try and rob a supermarket where McBride is shopping. When the police show up it turns into a hostage situation. McBride has 45 minutes to resolve the crisis before he has to pick up his kids.

A senior citizen goes on an anti-government rampage and shoots a federal Judge. McBride has to catch him and brings his father along for the ride.

A teenage girl goes searching for the father she always dreamed of. Unfortunately, he's the armed car robber that McBride is currently pursuing.

McBride and a buddy go fishing in the wilderness and bump into survivalists. With his friend wounded, McBride must get him to safety and avoid more bloodshed.

When a terrorist turned witness won't testify because his girlfriend has been kidnapped, McBride has to save the girl and the day.

A minor league pitcher is trying to get back to the bigs after problems with drugs. When is girlfriend is caught with drugs in his bag at the airport, McBride is assigned to babysit the pitcher to ensure he makes his court appearance.

Parolee Ward is in love with Thelma. Unfortunately, Thelma doesn't exist and the man impersonating her has to put Ward on ice until he can figure out what to do. When McBride goes looking for Ward, he realizes he might have to find Thelma first.

Jeff Fahey stars as Winston McBride, a fugitive-chasing Deputy U.S. Marshal who has never let one get away. His quarry in the opener: a one-time radical activist (wanted for a 1970 draft board killing. She has been very good at the art of not existing for 25 years, but McBride catches her easily. It doesn't add up for MacBride when the couple he's pursuing for failure to file an income tax return determinedly elude him. The only charge against them won't land them in jail—but fleeing from a Federal marshal will.
