Twenty-six-part comedy series about four bachelors, who all want something better and more beautiful. They try to find happiness by boasting and lying about their past. The friends Pamela Oudgeest and Karin van Praag meet the men Sjaak Massini and Willem Termeulen in the bachelor bar / disco Cupido. All four are looking for fun and a bit of happiness. To impress, the men boast about their jobs and embellish their backgrounds.

The newspapers report the news that Pamela has married hip actor Dennis Day.
Willem and Karin want to link Pamela to a former officer that Willem met while working in the hospital.
Dennis Day keeps visiting Pamela, with the result that she ends up offering him a room to rent, much to Karin's dismay.
“In the past” plays a role in the ladies. Dennis does move into a room with Pam, but his advances don't affect Pam. She is expecting a former friend. Pam has had a visit from her former husband. It seems as if he is jealous of Willem.
Dennis auditions after auditioning, but nothing succeeds. Pam and Karin also start to doubt his popularity. But Dennis really feels the shit when a successful colleague comes forward.
Willem and Karin are getting married with Dennis as a witness. But then suddenly and unexpectedly a television role for Dennis falls out of the blue.
Karin and Willem are busy preparing for the opening of their postal agency when Pamela returns from Petersburg with her boyfriend, actor Dennis Day. When an old acquaintance comes to visit, it causes a lot of confusion.
Pam is upset. Now Dennis has also fled. Although because of the tax, Pam insists that men are fleeing her and Karin arranges a therapist for her. Good idea?

Willem wants to propose to Karin and has brought a beautiful ring. Sjaak thinks they should remain free boys and takes the ring under his wing. But what are Sjaak and Pamela doing there in the moonlight ...
Pamela, Karin, Willem and Sjaak have an appointment in a restaurant. The whole thing falls into the water, because Pamela does not show up and Karin is green and yellow annoyed by Willem's troublesome children. Meanwhile, Sjaak makes a discovery.
