Sitting Ducks is an American children's animated television series based on the 1970s "Sitting Ducks" lithograph and the 1998 children's book of the same name, created by the poster artist Michael Bedard. Sitting Ducks first appeared in 2001 in Europe, later debuting in United States on Cartoon Network, in Australia on ABC3, in Canada on CBC Television, in the United Kingdom on BBC Two, Disney XD and in the Japanese version of Cartoon Network. The show lasted for two seasons each comprising thirteen episodes, with the last episode shown on July 5, 2003. Reruns of the show were aired on Qubo in 2007, and was later aired as part of its block Qubo Night Owl, until June 30, 2012.

Seasons & Episodes

After Ed, Oly and Waddle win a contest they didn't sign up for, they find themselves imprisoned in Swampwood. When Bill learns of their location Aldo and he have to sneak in and help them.

Ed, Oly and Waddle break their television while watching "Daredevil Ducks" so they go over to Bill's to finish watching the show. They find out that they could win a new TV if they could complete a dare which involves rubbing an alligator's stomach until it falls asleep. When Aldo refuses to help them, they seek out another alligator in Swampwood which almost gets them killed.

Aldo gets a craving to eat ducks so he goes to see Cecil for a way to fix it. Cecil gives him duck hormones to stop the cravings but Aldo takes too many and starts to turn into a duck.

Aldo has to watch his cousin Andy but when a bowling championship turns out to be on the same weekend he asks Bill to watch Andy. However Andy bits one of Waddle's feather giving him a craving for duck and tries to eat the ducks of Ducktown.

Bill and Aldo get told that Bev can tell peoples fortunes by looking at their feet. Bev tells Bill he has bad luck all over him and Bill starts to experience bad luck. But in the end they find out that Bev had the chart upside down and all the bad luck was in Bill's head.

Bev bets Ed that she can beat him in a scooter race for milkshakes. Although Bev can't ride a scooter at first, she eventually picks up the skill which cause Ed, Oly and Waddle to try and cheat to win.

Bill finds out that Aldo has a secret club. Bill then follows Aldo to a bowling alley dressed as an alligator, but when they want to initiate him into the club, Bill reveals he is a duck and almost gets eaten.

Aldo has a nightmare about Quack the Ripper, a monstrous duck that shows up every midnight. He tells his friends that Quack is feared by all the alligators in Swampwood, so Ed comes up with an idea to make Waddle dress up like Quack. Something goes wrong and Waddle is almost eaten until the real Quack shows up and scares off the alligators.

After flying really crazy Raoul has his flying license grounded. This in turn upsets but also excites Bill because now he doesn't fight with Raoul. When Bill, Aldo, and Bev start to notice that Raoul is feeling down, Bill and Aldo help him get his flying license back so he can go back to being himself again.

There is a picnic in the park for ducks. Aldo decides he would like to go so he puts on a duck mask so nothing will go wrong. However when two alligators show up to try and eat the ducks, they target Aldo because they think he is a duck.

Fred's favorite cousin, Gelata, comes to visit. Although all the male ducks take a liking to her leaving no time for Fred to spend with her. The only one who doesn't like her is Waddle whose only desire is ice cream, but in the end Fred gets to spend time with Gelata.

After Drill Sergeant Duck bans Bill and Aldo from spending time together, they decide to go on a treasure hunt. However Ed, Oly, Waddle and Raoul follow them while trying to turn them all against each other. It turns out that the treasure wasn't what they expected but just a means for Bill and Aldo to spend time together.

After listening to the radio Bill gets a chance to meet his idol King of the Bongos. However when the King goes missing, Bill and Aldo set out to find him only to find out that the King is a little crazy. Bill decides he prefers the King's music to the King himself.

Aldo is going out of town for a bowling tournament and needs someone to look after his blind Uncle Artie. Bill volunteers and he and Artie soon become friends. But when Artie says something about ducks that annoys Bill, Bill tells him he is a duck. Artie then tries to eat Bill, but Aldo comes back in the nick of time and saves Bill.

Waddle gets a new girlfriend, Alley, who is an alligator. But when she keeps drooling over him he begins not to trust her. Bill reminds Waddle about how no one trusted Aldo at first when he returned to Ducktown, so Waddle tells Alley he could trust her more if she didn't drool as much.

Drill Sergent Duck wants to win the Outstanding Sergeant of the Year Award and decides the only way to win it is by catching an alligator. She decides to go after Aldo, so Bill and Aldo must stay one step ahead of her. She ends up arresting Bev, Ed, Fred, Oly, Waddle and Aldo but then loses the award because it is revealed that she arrested Aldo for nothing.

Everyone one is tired of Ed's lying so they go to see Cecil to get something which will fix his lying problem. Cecil gives them a spray but Waddle and Oly go around and spray everyone and Bill ends up trying to tell Bev he likes her.

Bev is almost eaten by an alligator while outback of the cafe. However Bill can't get out there to save her, but two members from the Ducktown Defense League end up coming to her rescue. Subsequently, Bill joins the League and ends up becoming a hero to all ducks in the League, and even Drill Sergeant Duck.

A huge block is delivered to the cafe and Bill and Aldo notice that there is an ancient Caveduck stuck in the ice after the ice begins to melt.

After Bev's dance partner drops out of the Ducktown's annual Shake and Shimmy dance contest, Bill volunteers to step in.

It turns out that Jerry, Bill's parrot, can talk and has been ordering things with Bill's credit card. Bill gets suspicious when he receives a delivery that he didn't order. After trying and failing to get Jerry to tell him who ordered it, Bill decides to set Jerry free thinking it will give him something to talk about. But when Jerry doesn't return Bill begins to worry.

Ducktown is facing a feather shortage and is in danger from Swamptown. Bill manages to convince Oly to donate some of his feathers, which turn out to be unique. When Oly becomes a celebrity amongst Ducks and Gators alike, Bill and Aldo realize that if Oly is producing all the feathers, the Gators will have no use for the rest of the Ducks and will eat them.

Bills old friend, Outback Quack, comes for a visit and begins to brag about his gator he caught. Aldo then pretends to be Bill's captured gator and scares Quack revealing to everyone that he isn't what he says he is.

Bill is almost attacked by an alligator (Aldo). After finding out that Aldo has a toothache, Bill takes him to see Cecil, the local dentist.

After Bill starts losing all of his feathers he goes to Bev for help. Getting all but his tail feathers back on, Bill goes into a feather-making machine for a second time, regaining all of his feathers but also turning green.

After dropping a fridge on someone's scooter, Ed, Oly, and Waddle must find a job to pay to get it fixed. After getting fired from Bev's Cafe, Bill asks them to help paint a billboard.

Aldo volunteers to be the fifth member in Bill's Squaddle game, but Bill tries to stop him because he hasn't told his family his best friend is an alligator. Aldo also gets a case of the giccups (gator hiccups) so Bill and some of their friends try to make the giccups go away.

While using his new telescope Bill spots Aldo in Cecil and Claire's apartment. After being told that Aldo has eaten Cecil and Claire by Ed, Waddle and Oly, they go to the apartment finding that Aldo is only baby-sitting for the weekend.

After Fred the penguin's air-conditioners cause a town power failure, every duck refuses to let him into the pond to cool off. So Bill and Fred go to Swampwood to get some ice and almost get killed while doing it.

Cecil tries to help Bill so he can achieve his dream of learning to fly. After trying over and over again, Bill eventually gets hurt and ends up in hospital.

After being bothered by a fly while trying to sleep Bill decides to go the decoy for a milkshake. He finds Bev tied up by an alligator pretending to be a duck. With Bill and Bev trying their best to get away the fly goes and bothers Aldo to get him to come and help.

After Bill and his friends forget Bev's birthday, she closes the cafe until further notice, so Bill and friends help Bev to remember the first time they met.

After hitting his head in a scooter accident, Waddle begins acting like a primitive duck and ends up on a billboard.

Bill and Aldo find an egg in the park, with Bill thinking it's a duck egg and Aldo thinking it's an alligator egg. However, they are both proved wrong after it turns out to be a turtle egg.

Bill has to go out and buy a satellite dish in order to watch a special on The Flight Channel.

The cows have gone on strike, so the milk supply for the town is cut off. Bill is sent in to persuade them to start supplying again.

After Aldo wins another bowling trophy, Bill realizes that he has never won a trophy himself, so he goes out to the city pond to fish for a rare marine animal.

After Bill hurts Raoul's foot in the window, he has to take care of him. However Raoul begins to take advantage of Bill even though his foot was never really injured

Bill decides he needs some time to himself only to find Ed, Waddle and Oly in his house watching TV. So he takes a boat to a private island only to have his boat float away. While on the island, he makes a new friend in a chicken and is almost eaten by alligators. When Ed, Oly, and Waddle notice Bill is missing, they set off to rescue him.

When Bill is almost eaten by a sleep-walking Aldo, he tries to get Aldo to eat duck food but to no avail. So Bill takes him to cecil which doesn't work and then tries a psychiatrist which also fails. In the end they find out that they both like to eat fish.

An alien named Zug visits Ducktown with a remote that can control people. Finding it funny at first, their opinion changes when Aldo is frozen, Ed, Oly and Waddle are put into a video game they are playing, and Bill gets shrunk. In the end Zug's parents arrive and he gets grounded.

To celebrate Penguin Day, Bill and his friends go down to central pond. However a fierce wind blows then over the to the alligators' side of the pond where they have to agree to play the alligators kids at a game of Ice Pucky or be eaten.

After Bill and Aldo have a fight over Aldo's clumsiness, Aldo leaves. Bill regrets the fight so Bill, Ed, Oly and Waddle head off to Swampwood to try and make up.

A boxing match between Crazy Bob the duck and an alligator known as the Green Death! has come to town and everyone is taking bets. However Bill finds out what is going on behind the match and then the tables turn.

After Aldo performs a magic trick on Bill turning him into a potato, Waddle babysits the potato he believes to be Bill for the day. In the end he realizes that he took the illusion a little too seriously.

Cecil shows Bill his new invention, ducky dentures, but says that the duck public isn't ready for the power of having teeth. Bill then takes the denture from Cecil's office and ends up having a dream that all the ducks have teeth and want to attack him.

Bill ask Aldo if he wants to go to a concert but Aldo refuses because he is too tired from work. When Bill asks what Aldo does for a job, Aldo refuses to tell him because his job involves cooking ducks. So Bill goes to Aldo's factory and is almost eaten by other alligators. Aldo finds Bill and claims that Bill is his lunch. In the end Aldo decides he is going to quit his job.
