In Toronto, best friends Jen and Mo decide to become roommates when Mo's parents move back to the Philippines and Jen takes the opportunity to live independent from her Chinese immigrant parents.

Jen gets into a heated online debate with a troll and she obviously must win. She goes to great lengths to change the narrow-minded perspective of GoodOlDaze69, which leads to a shocking discovery. Meanwhile, Mo’s dreaded corporate training workshop is shaken by the arrival of an ultra-cool rival manager Scout, who exposes Mo’s impatient side during a series of exercises…yet also ignites a spark between the two.

As Jen’s birthday approaches, Mo and Marcus team up to find her perfect gift. But the seemingly straightforward task takes a turn for the weird as the two compete to prove who knows Jen best- the best friend, or the boyfriend. Meanwhile, Jen makes her first foray into the fun (and judgmental) world of personal finance at her local bank.

When Jen has trouble communicating her desires to Riley and Mo struggles through her commitment issues with Scout, the couples attended an Intimacy workshop. Celebrity coaches Dorris and Cliff, redefine intimacy and push the group get in touch with their sensuality. Tackling their repressed feelings, Jen and Mo wonder if they may be in over their head, as everyone makes out with apples… and that’s not even the weird part.

After discovering all of Riley’s exes are Asian, Jen develops a series of tests to determine whether or not her new boyfriend has yellow fever. It’s all well and good for Jen, until she realizes she may have her own biases to own up to. Meanwhile, Mo sets off on an epic quest, as her diversity initiative proposal leads her to the most terrifying place of all- Beta Games Head Office.

With stress at a boiling point Mo suggests therapy and Jen finds it very useful! So much so, Jen goes full-Jen and tries to utilize this new technique on all of her life stresses, including inviting her whole family for a group therapy session. Meanwhile, Mo visits a rage room to help work though her reluctance to fire a lacklustre employee.

Mo's family visits from the Philippines and she wants to prove how well she's doing on her own.

Jen and Mo are forced to confront their feelings when they attend Karen and Harrison's wedding shower.

Jen and Mo's change jar is stolen and they must deal with the local authorities and Marcus trying to install an alarm system.

Things get complicated as Jen tries for once to be bad, and Mo tries to be good; Mo volunteers at a church fundraiser while Jen walks on the wild side.

Jen starts a new job where she's forced to wear a skimpy uniform and deal with touchy customers; Mo attends a sexual harassment seminar.

Jen and Mo navigate the online dating world to find dates to go to an escape room.

When Jen and Mo find a squirrel in the house, each blames the other for the arrival of the four-legged foe.

Jen and Mo decide to prove their independence by getting their first apartment together, only to have all their possessions go missing on the first day.

In a case of mistaken sexual identity, Jen and Mo drag Nate and Lewis to Bunny's house to prove their hetero-normative status.

Mo is taken to task by her new, rule abiding co-worker while Jen realizes her university degree has left her unequipped for the real world.

Needing to make some extra cash, Mo decides to rent her friendship only to be surprised by her new client. Meanwhile, Jen struggles through a blind date with Mo’s manager, Garth.

Partaking in a duel exam together at the clinic, Jen and Mo discover that even the closest of friends have their own private secrets.

Feeling shamed for being bad Asians, Jen and Mo decide to throw a party to prove their cultural pride and invite all their Asian friends.
