Rose Red
Dr. Joyce Reardon commissions a team of psychics to literally wake up a supposedly dormant haunted mansion—Rose Red.
A talented but eccentric parapsychologist hires a group of psychic mediums, including a teenage autistic savant with telekinesis, in order to wake up the horror in a century-old haunted house.
The team tours the mansion. Joyce and Steve point out that the home contains many optical illusions as well as an upside-down room and a library with a mirrored floor. Members of the team begin to disappear.
As Annie Wheaton falls and is knocked unconscious Rose Red's windows and doors mysteriously open again, prompting Emery to suggests that Annie be killed in order to allow everyone to escape the haunted house.
Set at the turn of the century, this is the tale of Ellen Rimbauer who just received this mysterious mansion as a wedding gift from her new husband. Her husband is a Seattle oil tycoon who has a dark past which Ellen eventually finds out about. She becomes fearful of her husband when she learns of some disappearances of people that were close to him. Also there are some unexplained happenings at the Rose Red Mansion that might have a connection to these people who have disappeared. Now Ellen is worried she might be next.
