Rocky and Bullwinkle began life in the 1950's television show, The Frostbite Falls Review. It was created by Jay Ward and Bill Scott. Their names in that show were Rocket J. Squirrel and Canadian Moose. The Frostbite Falls Review was not very successful so Rocky and Bullwinkle became the stars of their own show, Rocky and His Friends. The show was co-created by Alex Anderson and premiered on November 29th, 1959 on ABC. Added to the cast were Boris and Natasha, two Pottsylvanian spies. The show also featured various segments; Peabody's Improbable History, Fractured Fairy Tales, Mr. Know-It-All, and Aesop and Son. In 1961, the show moved to NBC and was renamed The Bullwinkle Show. It ran for three seasons and was canceled in 1964. ABC ran reruns until 1974, when the show then entered syndication.

Our story opens up in the post office in Frostbite Falls Minnesota. Rocky and Bullwinkle come to pick up their mail. Amazingly, Bullwinkle gets a letter from a New York Law Firm. The letter says that Bullwinkle's Uncle Dewlap had passed away, Bullwinkle has inherited a claim to a mine. The mine is on the slopes of Mt. Flatten, but just hearing that made the post office worker faint. Rocky and Bullwinkle head home to pack up to end up almost being stabbed by a mysterious knife-throwing stranger. The knife has a note attached to it wanting them to keep away from Mt. Flatten, but Rocky's not giving up! Once Rocky and Bullwinkle are at home, they start packing, only Bullwinkle is having trouble opening his suitcase. His suitcase has a big can of TNT wired to go off as soon as he opens it. He kicks out the window hoping the force will open it. The suitcase lands next to the mysterious knife throwing stranger, and blows up. On the way to Mt. Flatten, Rocky and Bullwinkle are tricked into goi

Boris had tricked Rocky and Bullwinkle into thinking they're heading toward Mt. Flatten, but actually, they are heading for a minefield. Boris chooses that moment to drive off on his motorcycle to get to Mt. Flatten, when all of the sudden, Natasha appears on the scene to make sure Boris doesn't hog allof Bullwinkle's inheritance for himself. With the sounds of landmines going off, a military tank comes to ""despose"" of Rocky and Bullwinkle. The commander asks them to leave, but Rocky points out that they can't due to they are surrounded by landmines. So the tank's giant mechanical hand grabs Rocky and Bullwinkle, then a giant mechanical foot kicks them out of the minefield. Boris feels down since Rocky and Bullwinkle aren't really dead. They are now hitching a ride, but no one stops, until a limo comes and picks them up. Once inside, Rocky notices that door has no window crank or door handle. The driver of the limo isn't really a driver at all, but a dummy fastened to the will, while t

Rocky and Bullwinkle have hitched a ride into a limo which had no human hand to control it, instead a dummy fastened to the wheel. Rocky and Bullwinkle try feverishly to stop the car, but are unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Natasha figures a way to keep Rocky and Bullwinkle from Mt. Flatten, by changing the road signs. Unfortunately, Boris ends up with the same idea and changes the signs back, and while they ride off on the motorcycle, they end up going over a cliff. Miles away in a dark room, a mysterious figure is controling the limo by remote control, and pushes the reverse button. The bottom half of the limo reverses and begins tearing up the desert. Rocky and Bullwinkle try to get to Mt. Flatten on foot, but get weaker and weaker by the hot desert sun. Then, the bottom half of the limo tears across the desert, and ends up catching Boris and Natasha. Then, Boris's cannon ball strikes them in the limo. Fractured Fairy Tales: The Three Little Piggs Mr. Know it All: Peabody's Improbable

Rocky and Bullwinkle can't stand walking through the hot desert. Boris and Natasha can't stand the fact of them reaching Mt. Flatten. Boris posing as Gunga Drain, an Indian water peddler, offers them some water in exchange for Bullwinkle's mine deed. Rocky refuses, so Boris offers them some ""chameleons"" as souveineirs. But Rocky knows they're really scorpions. Rocky and Bullwinkle leave. Yes, Boris really was going to offer them water, that dissolves it's consumers. All of the sudden, a badly flown helicopter appears in the sky and dives ending up getting Bullwinkle's antlers caught between the wheels. Rocky grabs ahold of Bullwinkle in attempt to pull him out, only to be picked up too. Bullwinkle's antlers are stuck between the wheels of a mysterious helicopter, that boucnes, and flies like crazy across the desert. Rocky grabbed Bullwinkle's feet at one moment when he comes to the ground, but Rocky is pulled up into the air again. Suddenly, the pilot pulls a wrong lever, and Rocky and Bullwinkle are hurled into the cockpit, where Rocky hears a familiar voice. Next thing you know, Rocky and Bullwinkle are reunited with their friend, Captain Peter Wrongway Peachfuzz. Capt. Peachfuzz then throws another wrong lever, and the propellers of the copter fly off. As the copter falls earth-ward, Bullwinkle and Capt. Peachfuzz parachute out, while Rocky soars out. Bullwinkle has no trouble as he drifts to earth, but Capt. Peachfuzz has his on upside down and his money falls out of his pockets, but not to worry because Rocky saves them. Once on the ground, Rocky and Bullwinkle are even more lost than ever, but Peachfuzz doesn't care because he has to follow Rocky and Bullwinkle

Rocky, Bullwinkle, and Capt. Peachfuzz kand safely on the sands of the desert, where they're lost again. Capt. Peachfuzz claims he has to follow them because of Bullwinkle's mine. In one word: upsidasium. Capt. Peachfuzz goes through his pockets, only to find he has lost all of his papers since he parachuted upside down. Meanwhile in another part of the desert, Boris and Natasha find all of Capt. Peachfuzz's top secret papers. Boris has a sneaky idea. After our heroes trail through the desert, they run into an arabian named Abou Ben Boris (who is really Boris). He tells them that they are in the middle of the Saharrah Desert. Rocky and Capt. Peachfuzz step inside the spies tent, while outside, Boris knocks Bullwinkle unconscious, and he sneaks inside the tent to do-away with the other two, only to have Rocky and Capt. Peachfuzz to request that they help them out of the desert. Boris's asking price is one deed to mine. Rocky becomes too suspicious. Boris and Natasha leave the tent, and

Rocky, Bullwinkle, and Capt. Peachfuzz continue there walk through the desert, until Peachfuzz comes across a railroad track. Bullwinkle insists that it's a mirage, so he stands on the tracks, while a train comes his way. The engineers see Bullwinkle and jump out of the train. Rocky flies in and stops the train, explains to the engineers, and are now on the train heading to they hope Mt. Flatten. Meanwhile, down the tracks, Boris is ready to derail the train when it arrives. While in their car, Capt. Peachfuzz says that Bullwinkle's mine is very valuable because it's chaucked full of the rare anti-gravity metal, Upsidasium. Awhile back, a grizzled old prospector found a chunck of it, and it made his mule float since the mule was carrying it in the prospector's pack. He wants to make a claim on Mt. Flatten, but is turned down because Bullwinkle's uncle Dewlap D. Moose already has a claim on it. The prospector says that Mt. Flatten is a lost mountain. Fractured Fairy Tales: Mr. Know it

Boris is ready to derail the upcoming train with Rocky and Bullwinkle aboard. Boris contacts Fearless Leader to get approval from a fellow named: Mr. Big. He's disapproved because if Bullwinkle's gone, how will they find Mt. Flatten? So Boris tries to put the switch back to where it was, only to find it stuck. So he runs on the tracks waving a red flag. Rocky notices, and has Bullwinkle pull the emergancy brake cord. The train stops and Rocky and Bullwinkle go to meet the hero, who turns out to be a grizzled old prospector named Mojave Max (Boris) and his sidekick Death Valley Dotty (Natasha). All of the sudden, the train leaves because Capt. Peachfuzz drives it. Rocky, Bullwinkle, Max, and Dotty search for Mt. Flatten noticing a road marker pointing the direction to Mt. Flatten. Rock after rock with the same sign until they come to a rock pointing in the opposite direction. But, if Mt. Flatten's right where they're standing, where is it? Aesop and Son: The Hare and the Tortoise Bull

Rocky and Bullwinkle look for Mt. Flatten, but it's nowhere to be found. It turns out that Mt. Flatten is a floating mountain. Rocky concludes it's a floating mountain because of all of the Upsidasium! There's only one problem: only Rocky can get to it because he can fly, but how will Bullwinkle, Mojave Max (Boris) and Death Valley Dotty (Natasha) get to it. Boris spots a deep dry well, so Boris changes the danger sign on it and turns it into an ""Only Up Elevator"" Rocky and Bullwinkle step in, only to find they've fallen into the dry well. But then, Boris thinks, how will they know they've found Upsidasium if Rocky and Bullwinkle aren't around, so he and Natasha send down a rescue rope for them. With that, they resume getting to Mt. Flatten, Rocky flies up and drops down a long rope for Boris, Natasha, and Bullwinkle to climb up to reach the lost mountain. With that, Rocky and Bullwinkle get out there chizzles and begin looking for some Upsidasium, meanwhile, Boris and Natasha attempt

Rocky and Bullwinkle have finally made it Mt. Flatten! Boris and Natasha attempt to squash them with a huge boulder. When they push it over, it begins to fall up, because it was full of the anti-gravity metal, Upsidasium. With Rocky and Bullwinkle striking some Upsidasium, now all they have to do is contact Capt. Peachfuzz about their find. They send out smoke signals, which catches everybody's eyes except Capt. Peachfuzz because he was just too good at keeping secrets. Boris and Natasha try to steal the whole mountain, but they are unsuccessful. Rocky and Bullwinkle find a huge thing of the anti-gravity metal, Upsidasium! Rocky and Bullwinkle have struck it rich on Mt. Flatten. The only trouble is, their find of Upsidasium always falls up whenever they unearth a hunk. Bullwinkle makes a find, and grabs ahold of a huge chunk of Upsidasium, and starts falling up. He keeps on lifting up in the air, until he's too high to let go. Rocky gets and idea, and tosses him a poker. He chunks off pieces of the Upsidasium, and he starts to decend back down to earth, where he's safe and sound. Rocky decides to get help from experts, Mojave Max, who is really Boris, who at that moment, gets word from Fearless Leader that there boss, Mr. Big is on his way to Mt. Flatten. During that time, a giant black jet flies through the desert: it's destination: Mt. Flatten. Rocky and Bullwinkle find their assistant, Mojave Max (Boris), and lead him to their mine, to help them collect Upsidasium. Boris tells them to go down the mine shaft to get some. As they get into the elevator and start down, Boris rolls a huge boulder down the

Capt. Peachfuzz, head of G-2 is the biggest secret keeper. His files are so secret, even his secretary can't look for the files with her eyes open. Needing an update, he tunes into Rocky and His Friends, but only picks up what we already went through. With that, Capt. Peachfuzz takes his private jet to the North Pole. Meanwhile, back at Mt. Flatten, Rocky and Bullwinkle are in an old mine shaft, just inches ahead of a huge boulder hurling after them. Mr. Big arrives at Mt. Flatten, who turns out to be nothing more than an enormous shadow. He tells Boris that the mine shaft goes all the way through the mountain. Sure enough, Rocky and Bullwinkle have gone through the entire mountain, and are now in the air, with the boulder still after them. Rocky soars out and pushes that elevator out of the way, as the boulder passes by. Rocky and Bullwinkle then begin a rope climb back to the surface of Mt. Flatten. Rocky and Bullwinkle are about to crash due to the fact that the plane their flying was completly designed by Capt. Peachfuzz! Rocky thinks that if he uses the steering wheel backwards, then the plane would be working right. He was right, while Boris and Natasha look through their Crookbook. Rocky lands the plane and explains to Capt. Peachfuzz that Mt. Flatten is full of Upsidasium. Then Rocky tells them that they need to get Mt. Flatten to Washington. So Rocky suggests that they take the engine from Capt. Peachfuzz's plane, attach it to Mt. Flatten, and fly it to Washington. But they'll have to fly at night so they won't expose the mountain to everyone else. But after three times, by the next night, they haven't moved at all. Standing watch, they find Boris and Natasha flying the mountain back in the opposite direction! They're caught, and the town below notice the mountain in the air and the word goes out everywhere, while inside the cave, Boris and Natasha meet with their instructor, Mr. Big, who is an enormous shadow. He explains that Pottsylvania needs Upsidasium for one reason: Pottsylvania produces a new car called an Assassian 8, which runs on squirrels instead of engines, but they're being made to fast than they can be bought, and the country can't shut down production, and the whole country is over flowing with the squirrel powered cars. While sleeping in their hotel room, Boris steals Rocky's helmet to look like him to steal the upsidasium. To keep the Upsidasium from falling up, Boris wears magnets on hus feet where the floor is metal. Then Boris and Natasha send the Upsidasium out back to a fleet of trucks. Trying to drive the trucks back to the ground was unsucessful because they were out of gas, but Bullwinkle threw a huge rock at the trucks which brought them down. In Frostbite Falls, there are more TV sets than there are people. The reason for this is because Frostbite Falls is the home of TV's most precious personalities: Rocket J. Squirrel. Rocky soars up into the air to see what could be the problem, and finds every single TV antannia are missing! The people of Frostbite Falls are going crazy without any TV to watch. The nation's TV's have been going off in a blink by something or someone destroying the TV antnias, the culprit is the 6foot tall mouse. Senator Seanpike apointed Rocky in charge of the investiation. Just as he was making his farewell address, an iron lamp post falls and knocks out Seanpike. When Rocky inspects it, he concludes it's been bitten. Rocky says that whoever bitten through an iron lamp post had to be some unknown creature. Bullwinkle finally tells Rocky about the metal mouse. Rocky and Bullwinkle build a giant mousetrap and roll it to Bleakly Mansion. When Bullwinkle accidentally drops the bait on the trap, Rocky goes hurdling in the air and smashs through a window. Rocky and Bullwinkle discover it's a secret passage. Once inside, the passage closes. After walking a little while they come to a door with voices inside. Rocky instructs Bullwinkle to put his ear to the door to listen, but the only way he could do that, is to put his antler through the door. The door opened, and Rocky and Bullwinkle found a room full 6foot metal mice. Two capture them, and take them to their leader, the big cheese, who's a little rat. They escaped and were about to runaway, when Rocky said they had to go back and defeat the mice. Rocky got cornered, but when Bullwinkle accidentally hit the exterminator mouse, he charged it back up, and the mouse caught the other mouse's tail in the trap. Rocky and Bullwinkle hid in the Bleakly Mansion kitchen to think of a plan. Meanwhile, Boris and Natasha were winding up more of the metal mice. Rocky got an idea, and cooked up some caramels. He fed them to the mice, who ended up with mouths that couldn't open or close anymore due to the sticky caramels. Boris and Natasha ordered a new shsipment of the mice. Rocky and Bullwinkle began to chase Boris, who then ran like a frightened mouse. All of the sudden, a stange weapon came out of the spaceship, and shot. Boris (or the big cheese) was frozen solid. Rocky and Bullwinkle then have a reunion with their old friends, Gidney and Cloyd the moonmen, who were delivering a new shipment of metal mice. When Rocky told them what had happened, the moonmen were shocked. ""We didn't know they were going to be used this way,"" Gidney said. Rocky is upset about the whole TV issue, but Bullwinkle decides to play his old ukelelea. His singing is terrible and Rocky and the moonmen want him to stop. All of the sudden, the whole army of metal-munching mice surround the cotage of Rocky and Bullwinkle. But the thing is, Boris is not leading them! They ran away from Boris, it turns out that Bullwinkle's singing voice makes the moonmice happy.
