Our House
Our House is an American television drama series that aired on NBC for two seasons from September 11, 1986 to May 8, 1988. The series centers on the Witherspoon family and the challenges they face adjusting to life with three generations living in the same house.
Jessie quits her job at the newspaper after she finds out another photographer is making more money then she is, because he is related to her boss. Kris meets her penpal Valerie whom she thought was a girl but isn't, she isn't thrilled at first but when he visits her, he makes her realize that she didn't tell him she was a girl.
Kris runs for student council with the help of a guy named Willie whom she just started talking to. Jessie tells Kris she will be an advisor for her schools newspaper, Kris is upset her mother will be at her school. Jessie has problems with a class clown Eric and takes charge of the class and threatens anyone that doesn't want to be serious with the paper will be kicked out. David thinks about getting his ear pierced. Molly and Bertha practice tap dancing around the house. Eric writes a story making fun of the candidates including Kris, Jessie thinks the article(satire) is good and tells Kris she is going to run it in the student paper. Kris says she will blame Jessie if she doesn't get elected. Willie is concerned with Kris' decisions in the election. She has been flirting with the guy who is running for student council president. Joe teaches the girls a stomp dance and falls over and hurts himself, Jessie (while tending his wounds) talk about her and alienating her daughter with the
Jessie and her three children move in with her father-in-law following the death of her husband. Kris worries when she realizes the local school doesn't offer classes she needs to get into the Air Force Academy.
David runs into serious competition with his business painting house numbers on curbs. Jessie enrolls in a photography course.
Gus's visiting Marine buddy, J.J. Moon, causes havoc.
Gus thinks he's dying, and stalls on getting treatment for his recently diagnosed diabetes.
Jessie goes on her first date despite David's strong disapproval.
Gus is called for jury duty; Kris practices driving and is struck by another car.
Gus brags about his childhood Halloween pranks and catches the imagination of David and Kris. Gus takes Molly trick-or-treating.
Jessie forbids Kris to go on an overnight trip to a rock concert until Gus volunteers to drive.
Jessie witnesses a crime, then meets one of the criminals when Kris brings some new friends over.
Kris befriends a girl with a drinking problem; David and Molly uncover a time capsule their father buried years before.
Kris asks her favorite teacher for a letter of recomendation for the Air Force Academy, and is surprised by the results.
Molly's too angry about her father's death to celebrate Christmas; Gus tries to deflect David from his Christmas present hiding place.
David falls for a teacher and strumbles across a collection of stories written by Gus; Jessie's perfect sister pays a visit.
Gus argues with Jessie and Kris about his men-only service organization; Molly befriends a blind girl; David nearly burns down the house.
Kris babysits for a teacher and ends up being accused of child abuse. David and Molly try to make their home come up to the standards of television households.
Gus challenges the family to spend a weekend using only the tools available 100 years earlier. But a nuclear crisis invades their trip back in time.
Kris wins a trip to March Air Force base; David ""borrows"" Gus's car; Jessie takes Molly to her mother-daughter fashion show. First of a two-part episode.
