Jack in a Box
Jack was a mild-mannered young man with a BFA in acting and no life skills. He took a job at a theater box office because it didn't involve heavy lifting, wearing a blazer or using Excel. A few years and thousands of customers later, Jack finds himself less mild-mannered and less young than ever before. Watch Jack try to manage his anger while navigating an insular universe where everyone is even more unstable than he is. Like all caged animals, he is going to throw his sh*t at you sooner or later... but first he's going to eat a cupcake and take a phone call from his mom. Service with a smirk, that's all you can ask for.
Dating and living with actors is hard. Especially when that actor is Jack. Love is all about compromises. And Patience. And chewing quietly when asked.
Staff Meetings bring out the worst in everyone. Especially Jack. Will a new hire become Jack's new nemesis? And why did Suzie get OJ with no pulp? And who's going to eat that last doughnut?
Who's the real pest? Jack or Beau? Computers freeze, Jack attempts to bond with Kris and Beau gets a little too familiar with Jack.
Gloria, Jack's Agent, is back. And she is doing something weird with her tongue.

Jack is ambushed at work when his mother, aunt and their friend Dawn come for a visit. Over a nice cup of coffee, they try to bond over pop culture. Will Jack be saved by the waiter?
Jack attempts to bond with his new boss Kris, and she is not having it. Where is Becca when he needs her? And will Jack have the balls to attempt said bonding?
Jack awaits a phone call from Drew and it becomes increasingly clear he has no clue how to date/be normal. After freaking out, he gets some misguided advice from his perpetually single girlfriends. Can Jack be smooth with his moves? Unlikely.
Jack and Drew go on their first date. Nervous laughter, sexual tension and really terrible jokes abound. Could Jack be happy?

Jack has a job interview. It's super creepy. How far will he go to convince himself and everyone else that he wants to be a receptionist at a boutique niche marketing firm?
Jack is bombarded with phone calls, goes to a terrible audition and then has a "physical" altercation with his agent, Gloria. There are too many women in his life.
Jack's runs into his longtime friend and former boss from the box office, Becca, at an audition. She is wearing too much blush and has a bone to pick with Jack. A friendship lost? We'll see.
Jack is on phone duty. His patience is having a cigarette outside.
Jack sneaks out of his box for his daily cigarette and cupcake break, only to run into an acquaintance from his past: Simon. Watch Jack try to navigate this awkward meeting... but first, let him lick the icing off his lips.
