Half in the Bag
Two VCR repairmen, Mike and Jay, scam an elderly man out of his fortune by discussing movies while on the job, and occasionally go on eccentric misadventures.
Bruce Willis makes a dozen movies a year and you've never heard of any of them. We thought we'd dive into this strange phenomenon and figure out what's going on, where these things come from, and why they keep getting made.
We're not done talking about Bruce Willis movies! For some reason. Or more specifically, for no reason. There's been two more terrible Bruce Willis movies in just the month since our previous Bruce Willis video so we wanted to get caught up. Also discussed: the Hulu series Pam and Tommy, a good show that you probably don't care about.
In this latest episode of the post mortem movie show, Jay and Mike take a look at one of the biggest bombs in movie history: MOONFALL! From the director of a bunch of other movies that somehow were popular and successful despite being equally terrible to MOONFALL! Thanks, Roland Emmerich! Your works of art will live on for generations of idiots to come.
Mike and Jay are back at Mr. Plinkett's house and take advantage of his new 125 inch TV to watch the biggest movie event of two weeks ago, Wonder Woman 1984! The movie that eeeeveryone loves!
Mike and Jay use Mr. Plinkett's TV to randomly select streaming movies to watch. What else ya gonna do in quarantine? Are we all still in quarantine? What's happening?
Mike and Jay go down a rabbit hole of shameless rip off movies! Specifically Willy's Wonderland starring Nicolas Cage and The Banana Splits Movie, two films """"""influenced""""" by the premise of the video game Five Nights at Freddy's. Which one will be deemed The Best of the Worst????
Believe it or not, Half in the Bag has been going for 10 years now. Here's our sad, pathetic celebration!
Mike, Jay and Rich Evans talk about the 4 hour long version of The Justice League aka "The Snyder Cut"!
Remember Godzilla? Remember King Kong?? Well they're back! Again! Godzilla vs. Kong is a movie with Godzilla and King Kong in it and it's out now and that's the movie.
Zach Snyder's back! Again! To make both a zombie film AND a heist film, and fails at both. Booooo-urns. Come for the blurry, nauseating cinematography, and stay for the dead pixels.
Movie theaters are starting to open back up and long-delayed blockbuster sequels are finally starting to be released like Fast and the Furios 9, A Quiet Place 2, and The Conjuring 3, so naturally Mike and Jay decided to talk about a small, surreal British movie. It's Censor!
In Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson is back as Black Widow: the super spy who's here to do super spy stuff. Except not really. There's no spy stuff. She literally just asks her fake mom where the main bad guy is and she tells her and that's about the end of anything spy related. Then she flips around a bunch and her body slams full force into many, many, many hard objects which would result in her breaking every bone in her body if she wasn't made of CGI.
Mike and Jay check out the new movie The Suicide Squad. Not to be confused with Suicide Squad.
Mike and Jay watch Nelly Bloomcramp's new film "Demonic" about a lady who uses some kind of motion capture rig to talk to her demon-possessed mother in a coma. Mike continues with his new scheme to steal Mr. Plinkett's blood in a much more compelling story.
From the director of The Conjuring and Insidious and Saw and The Conjuring and The Conjuring, it's...MALIGNANT! The scariest of the year if you're a Warner Brothers executive. Is the entire movie one big joke???? That's not rhetorical; we really don't know.
After learning that their secret camera of Mr. Plinkett is no longer working, Mike and Jay arrive at his house to get those sweet sweet anti-bodies. However, instead of continuing this interesting plot line, Mike and Jay decide to talk about Halloween Kills - a film that's much more realistic and fascinating. It is that spooky, scary and most evil time of the year: October through June! What do Mike and Jay think of this newest Halloween installment? Oh come on, you know...

Mike and Jay take a little break from tracking down the Omega variant infested Mr. Plinkett to talk about an important contribution to cinema: The Matrix: Resurrections. This episode also marks an important milestone. It's the first time Mike only drank one beer instead of 5 or more. His dementia is in full swing though. Watch this elderly fat ass try to form coherent sentences is like watching a manatee jump rope. Jay does a pretty good job talking about the movie though.
Mike and Jay realize there are no newly released movies worth wasting any amount of air on and discuss some recent-ish movies instead! The Academy Award-showered Doctor Sleep, and the box office bomb that nobody saw, Parasite!
To avoid being exposed to horrible illness, Mike and Jay stay inside and explore the depths of Hulu that nobody has ever explored before: Blumhouse's Into the Dark, a series of cheap scary movies that are all shot in one location.
Jay and Mike watch Verotika! The embarrassing feature film debut from metal icon Glenn Danzig. So you know what that means... it's time for a quarantine watch party! Invite 100 to 200 of your best friends over to your 500 square foot apartment to all watch it together!!! Close all the windows and pass around the same glass of beer for everyone to share! This film is so terrible you'll rub your eyes in disbelief! You'll laugh so hard you'll cough all over the extra large bowl of pretzels everyone is grabbing from with all their filthy unwashed hands! What a treat! Could this episode have been 10 minutes long? Sure. But why not breath in the same air with all of your sketchy friends in an unventilated room for an hour!
Stuck inside during a global apocalypse, Mike and Jay decide to discuss some stuff that everyone already talked about months ago. From our most recent episode of Half in the Bag, our Jack and Jill parody sequence.
In addition to hosting Half in the Bag, Mike and Jay are also the set buildings. We recently moved studios and had to dismantle the HITB set to transport it. Everything needed to be unscrewed and disassembled to fit out of the doors and onto a truck. Everything then had to be put back together in it's original form. This was a pain in the ass process to say the least. We work hard for our show kids! Thanks for watching and supporting us!
Episode 44 of Half in the Bag was just too goddamn long. Here's some stuff that got cut.

You don't want to watch this. You really don't want to watch this.
Since a new one is coming out, Mike, Jay and Rich Evans sit down and check out the first three films in Michael Bay's Transformers series. At the same time.

It's that magical time of year when Jay and Mike talk about the dumping ground that is January... and possibly more.
Mike, Jay, and Rich Evans watch Ripley Scott's 1979 film, Alien and talk about it. Since that film is soooo borrrring they also detour into talking about the entire Alien franchise as well as other things like Rich Evans' Grandmother's Christmas nightmare house. Learn stuff about Alien, hear Rich Evans laugh, and have a great time!
Jay and Mike need to stop looking at their cell phones during the movies they review! Those idiots! I've lost all respect for them forever. Unsubscribed!
Snark! Rich and Mike must break some bad news to Jay...
While filming the latest Half in the Bag episode, Mike talked about Ghost Adventures a whole lot.
