Gorillaz present Song Machine
A new project by the virtual band - Gorillaz. A multimedia series of songs/music videos released episodically through 2020, as a continuously-updating playlist via streaming services.
"Momentary Bliss" is the first in a series of episodic singles to be released by Gorillaz. The track features punk duo Slaves and UK rapper slowthai marking the first collaboration between the three.
“Désolé” is the second single to be released in the episodic series Song Machine. The upbeat and soulful song features lyrics in both English and French with beautiful vocal contributions from Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara. The song title is French for “Sorry.”
The third single to be featured in Song Machine, featuring English singers Peter Hook and Georgia.
"Friday 13th" is the fourth official single in the Gorillaz Song Machine series.
On “Pac-Man,” both 2-D and ScHoolboy Q compares their lives to being inside a game, making multiple allusions to feeling stuck in place and trying to “level up” in the world. The song even samples multiple sound effects from the titular game
"The Pink Phantom" is a song by British virtual band Gorillaz featuring Elton John and 6lack.
