Féminin/Féminin
If The L Word was written in 2014, filtered through the satirical lens of Girls (replete with dancing to Icona Pop’s “I Love It” in a club) and set in Québec, you’d have Féminin/Féminin. A type of docu-dramatic comedy, straddling both documentary and fiction, Féminin/Féminin delves into the lives of six 20-something friends—lesbian, bisexual, and, yes, even straight—as they “live and love” in Montreal.
Léa somehow tries to get away from love.
Céline has recently gotten a divorce and is now facing her new celibate state.
Steph learns a costly lesson about not taking anything for granted.
Noémie knows that she is gay. She just hasn’t kissed any girl yet.
Alex mostly doesn’t want to ask herself questions, while Anne wants answers.
Émilie finds herself homeless and “catless” after her recent separation.
The girls reunite for a weekend at the country house.
Every good thing has an end.
