The Tournament was a Canadian television series, which aired on CBC Television in 2005 and 2006. The series, a mockumentary show about a community minor hockey team, depicted the behind-the-scenes interactions between the players, their parents and coaches as the team competed for a spot in the annual youth hockey championship tournament. The cast included Alain Goulem, Paula Boudreau, Christian Potenza, Emily Tilson and Ari Cohen. Seven episodes were produced in the 2004-05 television season, airing in the winter of 2005, and ten episodes were produced in the 2005-06 season. The CBC announced on February 13, 2006, that the show would not be brought back for the 2006-07 television season.

When Hal cuts off Aurora's funeral home money, she can no longer sponsor the team. Barry, Singh and Stan Ryckman face off to decide who will sponsor the Warriors.

Is it true that Stan Ryckman is creating a Super Team to guarantee a Tournament Victory? Barry thinks so and he has the list of super players (led by his son Robbie ) to prove it.

Coach Mercier's drinking problem leads to chaos on and off the ice. When the fathers refuse to remove their half tanked winning coach, the mothers pull off a power play and take control of the team.

Who will coach the Warriors as they arrive in Worchester for the NorAm cup? And why is the Rebels coach so excited to see Barry? Something stinks in the rink and it's not the dressing rooms.

Barry's past comes full circle when an opposing coach threatens to do to Robbie, what Barry did to him twenty five years ago. Meanwhile a kiss from the Warriors new coach Marie, convinces Aurora it's time to switch to the "other" team.

The media descends upon Briarside as the Warriors defend Canada's Honor in the greatest series since the 72 Summit in September.

Janice is in labor, Aurora's heart is broken, Deb is engaged to two men, Doug is a traitor and Barry is devastated when Robbie gets his first dance solo... oh and there's the game too!

Welcome to Briarside, home of the Farqueson Funeral Home Warriors. This underachieving team of 10-year olds - along with their obsessed parents - are one win away from their first tournament in 40 years. If nothing goes wrong.

Team sponser Aurora Farqueson needs to pick a new coach. It's either Barry McConnell, the overbearing hockey dad; or the well-meaning team trainer, Dr. Singh, who has never seen a professional hockey game. If only there was another option.

The equipment is in the trunk and the Warriors are on the road to The Tournament. The drive to Quebec is tense, as everyone wants the new coach in THEIR car. To chat ... about things.

The night before the Tournament, parents gather for a party. Barry McConnell and Dr. Singh vie for the attention of special guest Phil Esposito, but his eyes are elsewhere.

It's game day. Barry and Janice McConnell are no longer speaking, team sponser Hal Farqueson is under the threat of suspension and the parents suspect the coach is gay. If the Warriors win, can the parents survive the victory?

The final climatic game, and the hunt is on for the Golden Puck. It all comes down to this.
