Lieutenant Colonel Philip Drysdale, the new CO, arrives with his traditional views on army life and is unimpressed the attitude of B Company's men. The arrival of Fusilier Tony Rossi causes a stir amongst the soldiers and their girlfriends.

The arrival of CSM Alan Fitzpatrick ruffles a few feathers whilst his wife helps the women raise money for charity. Corporal Hobbs hopes for promotion are dashed after an interrogation exercise.

B Company are training cadets and Alan Fitzpatrick has to face the fact that his little girl is growing up. Angela McLeod has to contend with a stalker. Stacey Grey has to contend with an unwanted guest and later gets her old job back.

The CO has to take evasive action when Special Branch come to visit but the biggest threat is closer to home. Andy Butcher fails his fitness test again but his heroic actions saves the day and it's the end of the road Jacko and Julie.

Mark Hobbs returns to work and has to accompany the men are sent on a survival exercise which goes horribly wrong. Alan Fitzpatrick's son starts to question his sexuality and the plan to increase the odds on a greyhound doesn't go to plan.

Major Jessica Bailey finds it a struggle to fit in amongst the regiment and so the CO sets her a challenge. The attentions of an officer makes Chris McLeod jealous after he returns from leave and the women hatch a scheme to make money.

The men and women take part in an exercise which forces everyone to question what they really want in life and what is important to them and forces some to breaking point. Julie takes drastic action when she receives some unwelcome news.

Mark Hobbs starts to adjust to life outside of the army with difficulty and accepts the help of a new found friend. Alan Fitzpatrick's son finally faces up to his sexuality whilst his father struggles to cope with the news.

A full inspection of the regiment brings some of the CO's methods into question. Life in the Fitzpatrick household returns to normal when events at Alan's birthday helps level feelings and the McLeod's have something to celebrate.

The regiment travel to Zokindi to maintain order and deliver food but end up fighting more than they'd thought. The CO's decisions put soldiers lives on the line and Mark Hobbs has to decide on which side his loyalties lie.

Following their return from Zokindi, the regiment prepares for some well-earned leave but have a funeral to attend and Jacko and Rossi's rivalry over Julie reaches boiling point.

The CO's poor decisions in Zokindi are called into question at a Board of Inquiry and the CO finally has to face up to his methods. Julie has a decision to make and Jacko tries to fix a quiz but will Andy play the game?

Whilst taking part in an infantry exercise, the company's armoured personnel carrier is forced off the road. Jeremy Forsythe struggles to introduce his fiancé to the regiment. Cate Hobbs receives bad news when she goes for a pregnancy test.

B Company is ambushed whilst transporting arms to Aldershot and the police suspect it is an inside job. Jeremy Forsythe receives some bad news regarding Lillian.

After the regiment has moved to Aldershot, B Company train for the parachute regiment and not all pass. Back at home, Deborah Briggs meets Jackie Reece whose life is spinning out of control after a personal tragedy.

Cate Hobbs is desperate to adopt and will go to any lengths to have a baby of her own. Steve Evans meets a mystery woman and soon realises that she is more closely linked to the army than he would like.

Mark and Cate's new baby becomes ill and the extent of their actions becomes apparent and Cate finally finds out that she's pregnant. Andy Butcher helps the company to win a coveted trophy after intervening during an accident.

B company is called in to help during a fireman's strike. The McLeod's are drawn into the lives of their friends when Corporal Ewan Dalglish begs for money in return for saving Ian's life in Bosnia. Andy Butcher finally gets his girl.

Cutbacks to the armed forces budget causes an exercise to go disastrously wrong. The debt collectors catch up with Deborah Briggs and she is forced to take desperate measures to earn money.

Fusilier Joe Farrell's ends up in the wrong type of pub when he receives bad news from Collette. His actions end up getting him into a lot of trouble.

With a chance to qualify for a triathlon team up for grabs, Stacey Grey gives Colour Sergeant Robert Hicks the wrong idea about her desire to be part of that team.

The discovery of a World War Two bomb puts the wives lives at risk and Cate has an early delivery. Meanwhile the men are guarding a historic site against Druids.

The men must search for a panther in the local countryside and Fusilier Ravi Singh faces a troublesome time fitting in to the army. Events make Steve Evans questions the motive and loyalty of an old friend.

Chris McLeod faces some tough decisions when an old girlfriend from Northern Ireland turns up unannounced. Jeremy Forsythe and Sarah Eastwood get better acquainted and the wives take part in a parachute jump to raise money for charity.

As the regiment prepares to leave for the South Atlantic to defend Deliverance Island Chris McLeod, Andy Butcher, Jeremy Forsythe and Tim Forrester are forced to make important decisions about the people close to them.

The regiment faces hostilities on Deliverance Island. Mark Hobbs is captured by the enemy and the Jeremy Forsythe has to face up to reality when the CO is injured. Tim Forrester receives some bad news about Sam Sheridan.

As preparations are underway for Andy and Stacey's wedding, the groom almost gets stuck in France. Other members of the regiment have unfinished business in their personal lives to sort out.

The Tuckers are forced back together when Macaulay is taken into care. Michael Stubbs is struggling with life as an officer and when an exercise goes wrong and the investigation by SIB brings Garvey into contact with his past.

The Tuckers receive help from Nancy to find the truth about Macaulay. Jo Farrell seeks Marsha Stubbs help to woo Collette but it starts to backfire when their partners become suspicious.

A boxing competition causes dreams to be made and broken. Jo Farrell's money troubles start to spiral out of control as Collette sets her heart on a wedding they can't afford.

B Company are on exercise in the Northern Territory of Australia and are introduced to their Medical Officer who ruffles a few feathers. Their true test is during an exercise in the outback when all their skills are put to the test.

Michael Stubbs is keen to make a good impression in front of the Australians and his superiors but luck is not on his side and an event back at home makes him realise that the army is not all he should think about.

The men take part in an exercise to locate a downed Australian World War Two aircraft ends when the weather takes a turn for the worse and it causes Major Rory Taylor's dreams to be cut short.

As the men return to the UK and go on leave, an face from Dave Tucker's past comes to visit. Paddy Garvey and Nancy Thorpe make some important decisions and Major Rory Taylor reflects on what might have been.

Brad Connor receives some bad news from back home. The men go on exercise against the Territorials and one reservist causes a lot of trouble for Jo Farrell and Steve Evans.

Michael and Marsha start to drift apart when these each pursue their own agendas. Joy Wilton has to decide if she should follow her heart and Jeremy Forsythe has to overcome his own enemies to triumph.

Paddy Garvey struggles to tell Dave Tucker his news until it's too late whilst Dave tries to woo back Donna. Complications during a live firing exercise results in a secret coming up to the surface.

New arrival Fusilier Andy Butcher struggles to make a good impression on his first day and his actions result in the Colonel's relationship being put under strain.

Michael and Marsha Stubbs have to decide if they should give their marriage another chance. Corporal William Markham joins B Company and his wife creates friction amongst the other army wives.

B Company are sent to South Africa on exercise and to help build a new medical centre. The locals situation lead Jeremy Forsythe and Andy Butcher to let matters of the heart cloud their judgement.

The men find themselves helping to rescue hostages in the African state of Mokindi. Paul and Sadie are reunited but have to decide whether an army romance is for them.

The remaining men fight to escape from Mokindi with one soldier sacrificing his life for the others. Dave and Donna have to decide if it is the end of the line for their marriage.

The men return from Bosnia and discover that they're heading to Cyprus. Dave Tucker discovers that he is the frame for a paternity suit. Tony Wilton puts his life on the line training for the SAS and ends up hearing some good news.

The men and their wives head to Cyprus. The men make a number of mistakes on exercise but are redeemed when they intervene in a critical situation. Major Kieran Voce meets a face from the past.

Paddy Garvey makes a good impression but has trouble getting the recognition he deserves. The Stubbs have to deal with the fallout of Sarah's earlier actions and the men find out where their next posting will be.

Emotions run high as the men prepare to leave for Bosnia.

The men are charged with cleaning up rubbish due to a national strike. CSM Chick Henwood finds his loyalties tested as his brother is one of the strikers.

A large scale theft is discovered from the military stores. Colour Sergeant Ian Anderson hears he has won commission into the Intelligence Corps, but his good news is overshadowed when he discovered a large amount of equipment in his care is missing. the theft puts a big question mark not only over Ian's chances of becoming an officer but also over his future with the army.
