Popstars was a Portuguese reality television series based on the Popstars international series. In Portugal, Popstars was broadcast on the Portuguese Sociedade Independente de Comunicação channel in 2001. The program was discontinued after one season. The series introduced the all girl band Nonstop sometimes stylized as NonStop. The band proved to be very successful specially with Portuguese youth with their hot singles "Ao Limite Eu Vou" and "Tudo Vai Mudar". The first went on to become the best played single for the year. In 2006, NonStop represented Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Coisas de Nada".

Scene 23 prepares for and performs their first concert.

After callbacks in all six cities, 93 hopefuls remain. In the second round of auditions, each woman is interviewed by the judges and reveals more about herself and her ambitions.

Cuts and callbacks continue as the 93 young women vying for a spot in the pop group are whittled down to 26. Choreographer Travis Payne teaches some dance moves to the hopefuls.

Twenty-six finalists are flown to Los Angeles for an intensive vocal and dance workshop, during which six competitors are eliminated. Choreographer Travis Payne, vocal coach Roger Love and producer David Foster coach the young women.

The girls move into the house.

Eden's Crush perfroms their first concert at LA's Palace Theater.
