Not On Your Nellie
Not On Your Nellie is a British sitcom that ran from 1974-75. It starred veteran actress Hylda Baker as Nellie Pickersgill, a Bolton woman who moves to London to help run her ailing father's Chelsea pub. 17 episodes of the series were produced by London Weekend Television for the ITV network.
Nellie's cousin Stanley joins the staff of the Brown Cow pub. Stanley wants to throw a huge party for dad, but obtaining the late night drinking license is really tricky.
Stanley tries to get the Brown Cow pub in the tourist guide on haunted pubs, but he doesn't want to tell Nellie.
Nellie breaks her ankle, but her troubles are just beginning.
Stanley's antics leave him with a broken ankle. Now his inexperienced cousin Alf has to take over and step in as landlord.
A childhood romance is rekindled while out shopping, and Nellie thinks she starts to hear wedding bells.
The desire for the high life has Nellie making some big changes in her life. Some of the changes mean a loss of friends.
A Pro wrestler, Battling Bill, moves to the district, but rubs some of the patons the wrong way.
When Jed's friend dies, he takes a good hard look at himself. He vows to stop drinking and gambling, but it's Nellie who feels the strain of his changed nature.

The hostess of the Brown Cow brings in live entertainment to boost business and make more money. Go Go dancers could do the trick. Nellie needs to stop her customers from going to The Rose and Crown pub.
Mr. Smallpiece, from the brewery, has a few good ideas and The Brown Cow Pub is turned into a fancy wine bar, in order to go more upmarket. The changes don't thrill their regular customers or Nellie.
