Everyone thought Danny had gone missing. Towards the end of senior year she vanished, leaving family and friends devastated and confused including her closest friend in the world, Becca. Gaslight picks up years later when Becca and her new husband receive an unexpected visitor during breakfast.
Eight years after her mysterious disappearance, Danny shows up on the doorstep of her childhood best friend Rebecca hoping to reconnect.
As small talk subsides, Rebecca lets Danny in on the ramifications of her disappearance.
An old recording offers a window into Danny’s first therapy session from back in high school.
Rebecca takes Danny for a drive around their hometown, but their trip down memory lane in not as pleasant as anticipated.
Rebecca confronts Danny with her concerns about Ben, but struggles to break through the walls she’s put up.
After sensing that being back in her childhood hometown may be testing Danny’s loyalty, Ben calls to remind her that there are consequences for her actions.
An old tape reveals two contrasting sessions with Ben – one with Danny, and the other with her father.
